I've been smitten with Istanbul since my first visit in 2001 and have now been living and working as a journalist in this magnificent, maddening city for 13 years and counting. I write about environmental, political, social and urban issues, as well as arts, culture, food and travel. When I'm not at work, I’m probably off on a run, hike or urban exploration.
