I'm an author, travel writer, photographer and internet storyteller. Passionate about plants, whale rescues and strong coffee, I have been based in the mountains of Wanaka, New Zealand, for a decade. Big dreamer. Total bird nerd. A friend once described me as cynical but kind in equal measure. I have run Young Adventuress, one of the biggest solo female travel blogs in the world, since 2010. I've traveled to 100 countries telling stories and now I am also working as a polar expedition guide in the Arctic and Antarctica, where I get paid to talk about birds.
