This mosque, with squat onion domes resting on smooth lines and accentuated curves combining with more traditional local features, has a slightly art deco feel. Fitting, given it sits in Manama's artsy neighbourhood of Adliya. Non-Muslim visitors (dressed modestly) can pop in outside of local prayer times to admire the more conventional interior. There is a women's entrance to the side that leads to a balcony.
